Instructions 

How to Access the Course Search

  • Navigate to maine.edu/students in any browser.
  • Select Course Search.

  • Choose Course Search for Current Students, Faculty, and Advisors for full access to institution-wide listings.

  • If logged into Main Street:

    • Open the Student Center tile.

    • Locate and select the Systemwide Course Search link in the left-hand navigation menu.

Using Powerful Search Filters

  • Use a variety of built-in filters to match courses to student needs:

    • Institution (campus selection)

    • Career Level

    • Subject

    • Session (term/session)

    • Class Start Time

    • Instructor

    • Additional flexible options for customized searching.

  • Combine filters as needed to target course options for specific degree requirements, scheduling preferences, or faculty.

Supporting Advisee Academic Planning

  • Explore the entire catalog of UMS course offerings in one place, with real-time, up-to-date data.

  • Use search results during advising sessions to help advisees find classes that align with personal, academic, or graduation goals.

  • Encourage advisees to use these search tools independently for self-guided discovery and class selection.
