Canon Device Support

INFO: As of Oct 1, 2022, Canon is no longer supporting University Canon Devices. UMS:IT will now be your Canon device point of contact for service, support, and supplies.
  • Canon supplies will be provided as needed. Please make a request using the Canon MFP Device Support Request form as outlined below, or contact UMS:IT Support 
  • UMS:IT may address printing and copying needs by expanding access to currently installed equipment, replacing a device with an available equivalent device, or contracting repair.
  • These measures are intended to be temporary as the university transitions to a different printer/multifunction device provider.

Please submit requests for Canon supplies or service using the "Canon MFP Device Support Request form"

INFO: If you are not logged in with your @maine.edu account, you will be prompted to login when you access the request form.

Detailed Information

The request form will prompt you for the information we need to service your request, such as:

  • Canon device location
  • Canon device Serial # (found under document feeder, above the scanner bed)
  • Description of the issue, including any error messages
  • If supplies are needed:
    • The supplies needed
    • The delivery address to deliver the supplies to
    • Contact Person along with their phone number
  • If there is another printer nearby that could potentially be used in the interim
    • The other printer's location and Serial # or queue name (if known)
