(Student) Is this class (or section) full? Understanding class availability for enrollment.

Class (or section) availability is displayed in the "Status" heading of the search results using "Class Search".

Detailed Information

New Student Center

The new Student Center has icons under the "Status" heading of the search results that let students know if the class is full or open.  A red square with a "C" indicates the class is full.  A green square with an "O" indicates the class is open for enrollment.  The "Status" of the section also indicates the number of seats still available in the section.  For example, 17/30 indicates that there are 17 seats available for enrollment out of a total of 30 seats.

Classic Student Center

The classic Student Center presents class availability a little differently.  The status icon for a closed class is a blue square and the status icon for an open class is a green circle.  Also, the classic Student Center indicates the number of seats taken in a course.  For example, 13/30 indicates 13 seats are taken with 17 seats available.
