LastPass is available as a secure password management solution for select groups within the University of Maine System. The UMS Information Security Office manages LastPass accounts, licenses and configuration.

UMS LastPass availability
LastPass licensing is available to UMS IT staff, and UMS staff that have a need to have access to shared sensitive information.
Requests for LastPass accounts can be made via UMS IT support tickets via the portal at itsupport.maine.edu or via email to help@maine.edu
Sharing content within UMS LastPass
Sensitive content can be shared with individuals, but it is recommended to share all content in LastPass via a Shared Folder.
UMS LastPass Multi-factor authentication
Multi-factor authentication for UMS LastPass Vault access is required for all users as of December 13th, 2024
Several MFA options are enabled, but the recommended option is to use "Duo Security", which will work similarly to Duo when using UMS Single Sign-On.
