Quick Guide: UMS Systemwide Course Search for Current Students

How to Access the Course Search

  • Go to maine.edu/students in your browser.

  • Click on Course Search, then select Course Search for Current Students, Faculty, and Advisors.

OR

  • If you are already logged into MaineStreet Student Center, locate Systemwide Course Search in the left-hand navigation menu.

Search and Filter Options

  • Select your Career Level: undergraduate, graduate, or law.

  • Filter course options by:

    • Institution (campus preference)

    • Subject

    • Instruction Mode (e.g., in-person, online, hybrid)

    • Additional filters for schedule, instructor, and more.

  • These filters help students quickly find classes that fit their personal schedule, academic requirements, and preferred learning format.

Enrollment Features

  • Once eligible to enroll, you can register for courses directly from your search results.

  • Add courses to your Shopping Cart for review or to finalize your schedule later.

  • When ready, visit your shopping cart, select courses, and complete enrollment with a few clicks—making registration fast and convenient.

  • Navigate to maine.edu/students in any browser.

  • Select Course Search.

  • Choose Course Search for Current Students, Faculty, and Advisors for full access to institution-wide listings.

    • Locate and select the Systemwide Course Search link in the left-hand navigation menu.
