Forwarding Calls
NOTE: Please note that forwarding can ONLY be set up when you are on campus, and can ONLY be set up with 207 numbers.
Cisco
To set up Forwarding

Press the “Forward All” softkey.

Enter the number to forward to (On-Campus or Ext or 9 then the 10 digit number)
To cancel Forwarding
-
Press the “Forward Off” softkey
Analog
To set up Forwarding
-
Pick up the handset.
-
Press *70
-
Enter the number to forward to (On-Campus or Ext or 9 then the 10 digit number)
-
Return the handset to its cradle.
To cancel Forwarding

Pick up the handset
-
Press #70

Return the handset to its cradle.
What phone do I have?
Cisco Phone: Cisco phones are easily identifiable by their screen used for video calls and a camera situated just above it.
IMPORTANT: If you set up call forwarding please verify that it is working by calling your phone before leaving campus and leaving a message.
Accessing voice mail off-campus
To access your voicemail off-campus, all that is needed is to dial 207-778-7004, enter your extension, and then enter your password when prompted or make sure Gmail-voicemail sync is turned on and working.
Changing Voicemail Greetings
Access your voicemail by dialing 207-778-7004. Enter your extension and when prompted enter your password.
Once in the system:
- Press 4 for mailbox options
- Press 1 to change your greeting settings.
- Press 1 again to change your personal greeting.
- Once you complete your new greeting you will be prompted to save this new greeting. Once satisfied, save your greeting.
Gmail/ Voicemail Sync
If you are not getting your voicemails in your @maine.edu email, please email the ITS help desk at help@maine.edu. Please include your email and extension in the ticket.
