How to address Duo error messages after an account change.

Possible error messages received
- "Your two-factor account is disabled. Contact an administrator for assistance."
- "Account disabled. Your Duo account is disabled, you are unable to access this application. Please contact your helpdesk."
Why this happens
This is likely caused by a status change on your account, such as changing your password after it expired or activating a reinstated account.
Instructions
If your account status recently changed and you receive one of these errors, wait at least 35 minutes, then sign in to the MFA Manager utility.
- Wait at least 35 minutes since your most recent account change (i.e., password reset, username change, or status change).
- Sign in to the Multi-Factor Authentication Manager at accounts.maine.edu/mfa with your username and new password.
If this does not resolve the issue, contact the IT Service Desk for additional assistance.
