Remove old Canon print queues from macOS or Windows

Summary

How to delete or remove queues that are no longer used, that had gone to old Canon printers

Body

With the roll-out of Xerox printers, users will not need their old Canon queues. For University-managed staff and faculty computers, the PaperCut Print Deploy client will take care of installing the new UMS-FindMe queue. Personally owned devices will receive their UMS-BYOD-FindMe queue through the Mobility Print client. Neither of these will remove old Canon queues, so they will need to be manually removed.

Instructions

Remove old queues from a Windows computer

  1. In the Windows Search bar, type Printers, Select Printers & Scanners
  2. Select the printer queue to be removed from the list
  3. Click the button Remove device
