Selected users who require advanced security compliance when receiving faxes may be configured to view incoming faxes using the XMedius Fax web interface.
Instructions
- Open a supported web browser (IE 9.0+, MS Edge, Firefox 3.6+, Any version of Chrome, and Apple Safari 5.x+) and go to the following URL:
- You will be presented with a login prompt. For username enter UAD\UMSID where UMSID is your UMS ID. For password, enter the password associated with your UMS ID.
NOTE: If you are logged into a Windows computer in the UAD Active Directory using your UAD account AND are using MS IE or Edge you may not be prompted with a login prompt. You may be automatically logged in using the username/password combination you use to login to your computer
- In the left hand panel click Outboard History. You will see a list of faxes sent from this account. You can click on any of the faxes to view information about the outgoing fax.. There are several tabs that allow you to view different information about each fax.
Fax - View the fax that was sent
Properties - Information regarding the transmission of the fax. Here you can view the status
- Note - Here you can add notes about the fax that was sent
Event Log - This will show you a timeline of how the fax was handled by the server.
- If a fax shows that an error occurred during transmission you have the option to resubmit it here by clicking the Resubmit button. This is useful if the destination fax was offline during the original transmission or you specified the incorrect phone number. You will be asked to verify the phone number and whether you want to delay the transmission to another day or time.
- Once finished click the Resubmit button.
