If you are having wireless connectivity issues, you may need to forget a wireless network as part of the troubleshooting process. Here's how.
Instructions
Windows 10
- Select the Wi-Fi network icon on the right side of the taskbar, then select Network & Internet settings
- Select Wi-Fi , then select Manage known networks
- Select the network you want to forget, then select Forget
Windows 11
- Click the Start button, then Settings, then Network & internet
- Select Wi-Fi, then select Manage known networks
- Select the network you want to forget, then select Forget
macOS Ventura or later
- Click Apple icon then System Settings
- Click Wi-Fi in the sidebar
- Scroll down on the right and click Advanced to see the networks known to your Mac
- Click the more button (...) next to the network, choose Remove From List, then click Remove to confirm
Earlier versions of macOS
- Click Apple icon then System Preferences
- Click Network
- Click Wi-Fi in the sidebar
- Click Advanced to see the networks known to your Mac
- Select the network, then click the remove button (–) beneath the list
- Click Remove to confirm
- Click OK, then click Apply
