Instructions

 

The Franklin T10 Mobile 5G Hotspot.

Step 1: Power On the Hotspot

Press and hold the power button on the Franklin T10 Mobile 5G Hotspot until the display lights up.

Step 2: Get SSID and Password

Press the power button to cycle through the mobile hotspot's information. It will show you the SSID (network name) and password for the device.

Step 3: Connect to the Hotspot

  1. On your device (laptop, tablet, smart phone), navigate to the list of available Wi-Fi networks.

  2. Look for the SSID (network name) corresponding to the mobile hotspot's. It will start with either 'Fogler Lib' or 'Merrill Lib', followed by a number (ex: Merrill Lib 1)

  3. Select the network and click "Connect".

  4. Enter the Wi-Fi password when prompted.

Step 4: Verify Connection

Once connected, open a web browser on your device and visit a site to ensure you have internet access.

Step 7: Power Off the Hotspot

When you're finished using the mobile hotspot, press and hold the power button until the display turns off to power down the device.

The following tips provide solutions to common issues encountered with the Mobile Hotspot.

1. First Steps

Restart both your computer and Mobile Hotspot to resolve many issues. Powering the device off and on can be done by long-pressing the power button.

INFO: Before contacting T-Mobile Customer Care, restart both your Mobile Hotspot and any connected devices.

2. Common Problems and Solutions

Issue: Mobile Hotspot powers off without pressing the Power/Menu button. Why?

Solution: This may be due to battery depletion. It can be charged using the provided AC charger.

INFO: If the power button does not start your Mobile Hotspot, perform a Power Reset.

3. How do I perform a Power Reset on Mobile Hotspot?

  • Using the power button: Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds until the Mobile Hotspot restarts.
  • By replacing the battery: If holding the power button doesn't work, open the battery cover, remove the battery for 5 seconds, re-install it, replace the cover, and then press the power button to turn on the Mobile Hotspot.

4. How do I perform a Reset?
Using the reset button: Remove the back cover. Make sure the battery is installed and your Mobile Hotspot is on. Press down the reset button for 3 seconds and release. Then, the Mobile Hotspot will perform the reset and restart automatically.
