How do I find the password or passcode for my Zoom meeting?

Solution

Using the Zoom App (Desktop or Mobile)

For Scheduled or Upcoming Meetings:

1. Open the Zoom app on your desktop or mobile device.
2. Go to the “Meetings” tab (calendar icon).
3. Find your meeting under Upcoming Meetings.
4. Tap or click the meeting name to view the details.
5. The meeting passcode will be listed in the meeting information, typically as:
   • Passcode
   • Meeting Password
   • Or embedded in the Invitation link

For an Ongoing Meeting (as Host)

1. In the meeting, click or tap the “Shield” icon in the top-left on desktop, or tap “Participants” > “Invite” on mobile.
2. The meeting information will appear, including:
   • Meeting ID
   • Passcode
3. You can copy the invitation and share it if needed.

Using the Zoom Web Portal

1. Go to:
   • UMS users: https://maine.zoom.us/signin
   • Non-UMS users: https://zoom.us/signin
2. In the left sidebar, click “Meetings.”
3. Under Upcoming Meetings, find your meeting and click the meeting title.
4. On the Meeting Details page, locate the Passcode.

Notes

• Passcodes are required for added security unless your Zoom settings use a Waiting Room instead.
• When sending invitations, the passcode is usually embedded in the meeting link, so attendees do not need to enter it separately.
