Can't find Adobe Express files after receiving a new Adobe license

Summary

If you don’t see your Adobe Express projects after receiving a new license, it may be due to logging in under the wrong account type. This article shows how to recover access to your existing Adobe files.

Body

Issue / Question

You received a new Adobe license and logged in with your @maine.edu email address, but your previous Adobe Express files and projects are missing.

Solution

  1. Go to the Adobe Express login page.
  2. Enter your @maine.edu email address.
  3. When prompted to choose an account type, select Personal Account instead of School/Company Account.
  4. After logging in, your previous files and projects should appear.
INFO: Adobe allows multiple account types tied to the same email address. Files are not shared between these accounts, so logging in with the wrong one may make it seem like your projects are missing.

Environment

  • Adobe Express
  • Creative Cloud
  • Web Browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc.)
  • @maine.edu email accounts

Notes

  • If you see two account options when logging in, and one shows no files, try the other.
  • You can manually transfer files between account types by downloading and re-uploading them.
