Gmail includes a built-in Mail Merge feature that allows users to send personalized bulk emails directly from Gmail. However, this feature is only available on specific Google Workspace subscription tiers. UMS Google Workspace accounts are provisioned under the Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals edition, which is not an eligible plan for Mail Merge.
According to Google's official documentation, Mail Merge in Gmail requires one of the following eligible Google Workspace plans:
- Workspace Individual
- Business Standard
- Business Plus
- Enterprise Standard
- Enterprise Plus
- Education Standard
- Education Plus
Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals — the edition licensed by UMS — is not included in this list and therefore does not have access to the Mail Merge feature in Gmail.
