Body
Zoom is introducing a redesigned Zoom Web experience that changes the layout and navigation of the Zoom web portal. Users may report that settings, recordings, reports, or administrative options are missing because many functions that were previously available from the left-side navigation menu have moved.
Vendor Documentation: Zoom Support – Introducing the new Zoom Web experience
Current Zoom Migration Schedule: September 30, 2026
This change primarily affects the Zoom web portal interface. It does not change how users join or participate in Zoom meetings and webinars.
Detailed Information
Migration Timeline
Zoom currently schedules Enterprise Direct and Release Track customers to migrate to the new Zoom Web experience on September 30, 2026.
Prior to the scheduled migration date, Zoom account owners and administrators may choose to enforce the new experience earlier. Eligible accounts may also allow users to temporarily switch between the legacy and new interfaces using a Try new experience option.
After Zoom's scheduled migration date for the applicable account type, the new experience will be enforced and the legacy interface will no longer be available.
What Is Changing?
The new Zoom Web experience reorganizes the web portal around three primary navigation elements:
- Home
- Product menu
- Profile menu
The traditional left-side navigation panel used throughout the Zoom web portal is replaced or reorganized as part of this change.
Redesigned Home Page
After signing in to the Zoom web portal, users will see a redesigned home page similar to the Zoom Workplace desktop application.
The home page provides quick access to common functions, including:
- Start a meeting
- Join a meeting
- Schedule a meeting
- Home
- Product menu
- Profile menu
Product Menu
A new product menu, represented by a grid or "waffle" icon, is located in the upper-right corner of the Zoom web portal.
The product menu replaces much of the previous left-side product navigation and provides access to the Zoom products available to the user.
Selecting a product may open that product's web interface in a separate browser tab.
Users can also reorder products displayed in the menu by dragging and dropping them.
Support Guidance
If a user reports that a Zoom product or feature previously shown in the left navigation menu is missing:
- Have the user locate the product menu in the upper-right corner.
- Open the product menu.
- Locate the appropriate Zoom product or service.
- Select the product to open its associated web interface.
The products displayed depend on the user's Zoom license, permissions, and the products enabled for the UMS Zoom account.
Profile Menu
The new Profile menu appears in the upper-right corner next to the product menu.
The Profile menu separates:
- Personal user settings through My account
- Administrative functions through Admin Center
Users without administrative permissions may not see the Admin Center option.
My Account
Users can select:
Profile menu > My account
to access personal Zoom account information and settings.
Functions moved into My account include the following.
Profile
Allows users to manage personal Zoom profile information such as:
- Name
- Profile picture
- Personal account information
Reports
The previous Analytics & Reports area has been reorganized.
Eligible users can access available meeting, webinar, and usage reports under Reports.
The reports available to an individual user depend on their Zoom role and permissions.
Personal Contacts
Allows users to store and manage personal Zoom contacts.
Personal Devices
Allows users to view and manage supported collaboration devices associated with their account.
Settings
Contains Zoom features and preferences that individual users are permitted to configure.
Some settings may be:
- Enabled by UMS
- Disabled by UMS
- Locked at the account or group level
If a setting is locked by an administrator, the individual user cannot override it.
Recordings and Transcripts
Users can access recording-related content under:
My account > Recordings and Transcripts
Depending on available features and permissions, this may include:
- Cloud recordings
- Recordings shared with the user
- Computer recordings

Users with applicable Zoom AI Companion functionality can access:
- Their meeting summaries
- Meeting summaries shared with them
through My account > Summaries.
Admin Center
The new Admin Center replaces much of the administrative functionality previously accessed through Account Management, User Management, and other areas of the legacy left navigation.
Admin Center is available only to:
- Account owners
- Zoom administrators
- Users with applicable Role Management permissions
Administrative options displayed depend on the administrator's assigned Zoom role and permissions.
To access Admin Center:

Provides account-level administrative functions such as:

Provides applicable administrators with access to Zoom App Marketplace management functionality.
Support Note: Installation or authorization of Zoom Marketplace applications may be governed by UMS security, privacy, integration, and application approval requirements. Availability of Marketplace functionality does not mean an application is automatically approved for UMS use.
Additional Administrative Areas
Zoom may display additional administrative areas depending on the account type and assigned permissions, including:
- Billing
- Customer management
- Delegated accounts
- Subaccounts
These options may not be applicable or available to all UMS Zoom administrators.
Branding Changes
The new Zoom Web experience also changes how some Zoom web portal branding is configured.
Previously configured branding does not necessarily carry over completely to the new web experience.
Authorized Zoom administrators should review branding following migration.
Branding settings in the new interface are located under:
Admin Center > Account > Branding
Branding Components
Landing Page
No changes are required.
Zoom continues to support HTML on the customized landing page.
Header and Footer
Existing customized header and footer branding must be configured again after migration to the new Zoom Web experience.
Zoom's new universal header provides access to:
- Home
- Product menu
- Profile menu
Custom HTML is no longer supported within the new header and footer configuration.
Sidebar
The previous navigation structure is replaced by the new universal navigation experience.
Custom CSS
Custom CSS is no longer supported in the new Zoom Web experience.
Previously configured CSS will not be displayed in the new interface.
Components Not Requiring Changes
Zoom indicates that the following branding components are not affected by the new web experience:
- Images
- Emails
- Brand kit
- Zoom Rooms
- Meetings and webinars
- Zoom Events
- Landing page HTML
Common Support Scenarios
"My Zoom settings are missing."
Have the user navigate to:
Profile menu > My account > Settings
If the setting is visible but cannot be changed, determine whether it is locked at the UMS account or group level.
"I can't find my Zoom recordings."
Have the user navigate to:
Profile menu > My account > Recordings and Transcripts
Confirm that the user is signed in with the correct UMS Zoom account.
"Analytics & Reports disappeared."
The previous Analytics & Reports navigation has changed.
For personal or user-level reporting, direct the user to:
Profile menu > My account > Reports
For administrative account-level reporting, authorized administrators should use:
Profile menu > Admin Center > Reports
"Account Management is missing."
For users with the appropriate administrative permissions, Account Management has moved into the new Admin Center.
Navigate to:
Profile menu > Admin Center
Administrative account functions are organized within the available Admin Center categories.
"User Management is missing."
User Management has been reorganized as Users within Admin Center.
Navigate to:
Profile menu > Admin Center > Users
The user must have an appropriate administrative role to see this option.
"I don't see Admin Center."
Admin Center is displayed only to users with applicable Zoom administrative permissions.
If the user does not normally administer Zoom, this is expected behavior.
If the user should have administrative access:
- Confirm they are signed in using their UMS Zoom account.
- Confirm the correct Zoom account is displayed.
- Confirm their expected Zoom administrative role.
- Escalate according to established UMS Zoom support procedures if the expected role or permissions are missing.
"The left-side Zoom menu disappeared."
This is expected behavior in the new Zoom Web experience.
Direct the user to:
- The product menu for Zoom products
- Profile > My account for personal account functions
- Profile > Admin Center for authorized administrative functions
"The Zoom website looks completely different."
Confirm whether the user is seeing the new Zoom Web experience.
If so, explain that Zoom has redesigned the web portal and reorganized navigation. The change does not indicate that the user's UMS Zoom account has been modified or that features have necessarily been removed.
Assist the user in locating the feature using the new navigation paths.
Troubleshooting
When troubleshooting a report following the Zoom Web experience migration:
- Confirm the user is referring to the Zoom web portal, rather than the Zoom Workplace desktop or mobile application.
- Confirm the user is signed in to the correct UMS Zoom account.
- Determine what function the user is attempting to access.
- Check the product menu for product-specific functionality.
- Check Profile > My account for personal settings, recordings, reports, summaries, and profile information.
- For administrative functions, check Profile > Admin Center.
- Determine whether the expected feature requires a particular Zoom license or administrative role.
- Determine whether the feature or setting is controlled or locked at the UMS account or group level.
- Escalate through established UMS Zoom support procedures when the issue involves account provisioning, licensing, permissions, authentication, integrations, or centrally managed configuration.
What Is Not Changing
The introduction of the new Zoom Web experience does not itself change:
- Joining Zoom meetings
- Participating in Zoom meetings
- Hosting Zoom meetings
- Zoom meeting invitations
- Zoom webinar participation
- Existing meeting and webinar branding
- The core Zoom Workplace meeting experience
- UMS authentication requirements
- UMS Zoom licensing or permissions
Some features may appear in a different location within the web portal, but a navigation change should not be treated as a service incident unless the expected functionality is actually unavailable.
Environment
Applies To:
- University of Maine System Zoom accounts
- Zoom Web Portal
- Zoom Workplace
- Students
- Faculty
- Staff
- UMS Support Staff
- Authorized UMS Zoom Administrators
