USIT Support Tool

The USIT Support Tool is a custom-developed PowerShell 7+ terminal user interface (TUI) designed by the University of Maine System Windows Sys Admin team. Built using the Microsoft.PowerShell.ConsoleGuiTools module, this tool streamlines and centralizes common administrative functions related to user and computer object management in the University Active Directory (UAD).

With this tool, authorized IT staff can:

  • View status and properties of computer and user accounts
  • Manage local admin and RDP groups on computers
  • Check Azure AD synchronization status for users and devices
  • Perform other routine USIT Tier 1 and Tier 2 administrative tasks

The USIT Support Tool improves efficiency and reduces administrative error by providing a simplified and interactive interface for routine identity and access management activities.

The tool is distributed internally and maintained via the Windows UMS-ADToolsPS Git repository.
