Purpose:
Procedure for bulk uploading files to Specto.
1. First open the values.csv file. DO NOT rename it! Specto won't know what to do with it.
2. Fill out as much or little metadata in the csv file as desired. Title is a necessary field as without it the public display of Specto will be wonky.
3. Open the Digital Uploader in Specto. Select the collection profile needed for the specifc collection you are loading into. Then click on Add New Ingest.
4. Give the load a name. Attach the completed CSV file along with all of the files you're ingesting in the batch. After adding them to the list, you need to click on the Upload All command.
5. Here is an example of a small ingest.
6. Click OK.
7. Click on the three dot menu and select upload.
8. Click on the three dot menu and select Submit. Yes, they are separate steps.
9. Click on Run MD Import to trigger the upload.
10. You get a pop out banner on the right hand side of Alma when the job has been run. In the report you can see any errors that may have occurred.
NOTE: Do not add or remove columns to the csv file.
