Password error on attempt to login to OneDrive

User receives error when trying to login to OneDrive "Your account or password is incorrect, if you don't remember your password, reset it now"

Solution 

  • DO NOT click the link to reset it now
  • Check if UMS credentials work on another site such as the user's campus portal, if it does, then create a ticket with the Help Desk. Reset their UMS password by going to accounts.maine.edu.
  • If the user had previously clicked the link to reset it now, then the user will need to reset their UMS password by going to accounts.maine.edu.

 INFO: It may take some time (10-20 min) for the password to sync over to Microsoft as well, so give it a little time after resetting before trying to login to OneDrive again.
