Brightspace

Brightspace is the learning management system for the University of Maine System, used to facilitate and augment teaching and learning needs throughout the system. Brightspace can be used to deliver content for online-only courses or to augment and supplement instruction in face-to-face or hybrid instruction models.

Google Workspace

Includes topics about Google Workspace services such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Voice, etc.

Kaltura

Ingests/captures video from multiple sources such as video file upload, computer screen, webcam or attached video camera (may require additional computer hardware), allows for the manipulation of uploaded video content and makes the video available for streaming to computers and other devices through a web browser and integration with learning management systems, such as the University's Blackboard system. Math Placement Grade Reporting

An assessment system used to place incoming students into the appropriate math courses. The UMaine version of this uses a separate program called ALEKS. Microsoft 365

"Microsoft 365, also known as Office 365 or Office.com, is a cloud-based suite of productivity tools from Microsoft, allowing you to work from where ever you are and with virtually any device. It integrates apps you need to collaborate with your classmates or coworkers.

Current student, faculty or can log into Office.com with the UMS credentials, thereby gaining access to an Microsoft 365 account. They can then install and.or use the following products.
- Office Pro Plus - A full version of the latest version of Office for Windows or Mac for a personally-owned computer.
- Office Online - A web based version of Office.
- Office for iPad, iPhone and Android. (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)

Please Note: Microsoft 365 accounts will use the @maine.edu account of the user, and password. Do not attempt to change this password via Office.com. This must be done by changing your UMS account password ."

OneDrive for Work and School

OneDrive for work and school accounts is online storage space in the cloud that's provided for individual licensed users in an organization. Use it to help protect work files and access them across multiple devices. OneDrive lets you share files and collaborate on documents, and sync files to your computer.
