Open up Software Center and select Installation Status from the column on the left. Check if any installations are in progress. If there are some, then wait until most have them had finished installing.

Check computer can talk to SCCM

WARNING: This is commonly the problem when users try to install from Software Center and it fails, with more info showing an error code of 0x87D00607

From a command prompt:

nslookup pdc-cm02.uad.maine.edu

It should resolve to an IP address. If it doesn't, they may have parental or another filter such as PiHole running on their router. These may need to be disabled, at least until they have downloaded the VPN, in order to access UAD resources.

On Spectrum routers with wifi on them, they may need to login and adjust firewall setting to low.

In Control Panel, System and Security, Config Manger, look on the General tab for Connectivity. It should say "Currently Intranet," If it says "Currently Internet" open a PowerShell prompt as admin and run.

Check the computer has the correct SRV record

Resolve-DnsName _mssms_mp_ums._tcp.uad.maine.edu -Type SRV

Should return Name Target of  pdc-cm02.uad.maine.edu.

Then from an command prompt run:

ipconfig /flushdns

Then either reboot or go into Services and restart the SMS Agent Host. The SMS Agent Host can also be restarted by running the following:

Restart-Service CcmExec

May need a complete machine reboot and then to wait about 15 minutes before access to Software Center should finally be available.
