Redzone Wireless Internet Access

Under the university’s lease of EBS FCC licenses to Redzone Wireless, LLC and in furtherance of the university’s mission, a limited number of free, wireless home internet services accounts are available to ACTIVE STUDENTS AND EMPLOYEES* who do not have access to reliable broadband internet service. Redzone wireless provides all support for the internet service and is the user's internet service provider.

If you are interested in the free Redzone Wireless Internet Service, please first check that your location is served by Redzone Wireless and then inquire about availability by contacting your campus representative from the list below.

Instructions for applying for Redzone Wireless Internet Service

  1. Determine (initially) whether your location is served by Redzone Wireless
  2. Contact your campus representative, from the list below, to apply for Wireless Internet Service.  Please include a brief explanation of your need.
  3. You should receive a response from your Campus Representative within 2 working days.
  4. Once we have reviewed and approved your request we will forward it to Redzone.
    • From that point on you will communicate directly and exclusively with Redzone about the service. 
    • It can take several weeks or even months, to establish Redzone wireless internet service. 
    • Redzone staff will need to visit your location to perform the installation. 
    • Redzone equipment is not user-installable.
    • If you do not own the location, or are subject to a HOMEOWNER ASSOCIATION AGREEMENT, you may need permission for installation of Redzone equipment.  Redzone will discuss this with you.
