How to Change Your Mac Login Password macOS Ventura

This is a short how-to guide on changing your local password in macOS Ventura. This guide assumes you know your current password and you are logged into the computer.

Instructions

1. Using the Apple Menu at the top left of your screen, launch the System Settings application
2. Scroll down on the left-hand sidebar and select Touch ID & Password
3. Select the Change button under the Password section
4. Enter your Old Password and New Password in their respective fields
   * It is also recommended to leave a hint for yourself on what your password might be
5. Select the Change Password button to save changes
