How to Print using a Guest CopyCard (Xerox)

Printing Guest Cards (a.k.a. Copy Cards) are available for purchase in locations such as University libraries to allow community patrons to print. Patrons can then use these cards to log in to PaperCut in order to print and pay for those pages printed.

INFO: If you are printing with an alumni card, the same instructions apply.

WARNING: If guest user does not see the print as another user option then the account they use to log on to the computer may not have been configured to give the option. If it is a new community patron account, it likely hasn't synced into PaperCut yet. In which case, IT staff could log in to a machine and print for them using the print another user and entering their Guest card info until the guest user's account syncs (within 24 hours).
  1. When prompted, log in to PaperCut:
    1. in the username field, enter the full card number
    2. then enter the last 4 digits of the card number in the password field
  2. If logged into the computer already with a UAD account, then when the PaperCut Client pops-up, select the option below Personal Account and Shared Account, which is Print as Another User, then
    1. in the username field, enter the full card number
    2. then enter the last 4 digits of the card number in the password field

PaperCut pop-up showing 3 options, with the 3rd option to Print as another User selected and example field entries.
