How to restart a Xerox device

A common troubleshooting step includes restarting the device. If asked to restart your device, please use the steps below.

Instructions

Restart using control panel

  1. Press the Power button on the Control Panel. A menu will display. 
  2. Touch Restart. The device will reboot, this may take a few minutes.
  3. Restart your computer.
  4. Try printing again.
WARNING:  Avoid turning the power switch off or unplugging the device unless specifically asked to by IT.

Reboot using power source

  1. Unplug the device's power cord from the wall outlet.
  2. Wait at least 30 seconds.
  3. Plug the power cord back into the outlet and wait for the device to boot up. This may take a few minutes.
  4. Restart your computer.
  5. Try printing again.
