Course Facility ID

Facility IDs in MaineStreet Campus Solutions identify where a class is taught.

Facility IDs are used for many things within the University of Maine System. Within the context of classes offered, the Facility ID indicates the building and room where a class section is held.

Facility IDs are also utilized to indicate that a class meetings are in a virtual environment or have been arranged by the instructor (on or off-campus).

Facility IDs:

  • Provide precise information to students in regard to class locations.
  • In 2022, Facility IDs across the UMS were reviewed and updated for consistency across our institutions.

Online or Online Live & Actual Facility

Multiple meeting patterns are created for classes with Instruction Mode of HB (Hybrid/Blended): these classes have both in-person and online components. The dates/times of in-person meetings are scheduled. Meeting patterns for the same class section indicate the in-person and online periods with the corresponding in-person facility on one meeting pattern, and the appropriate distance facility (WEB or WEB LIVE) for the online portion of the class.
