UMS Phish Reporter Gmail Add-on: Installation Instructions
- To find the UMS Phish Reporter Add-on, choose the + sign in the lower-right of the Gmail window, in the side-panel. (If you don’t see the + sign, select the < sign to reveal the side-panel).
- You will be presented with the Gmail Marketplace Add-ons page which has a search option
- Search for UMS Phish Reporter, and you will find the Add-on with this logo:
- Select the Add-on to begin the process. Select the Install button to continue:
- You will first see the Terms of Service page and Privacy, click Continue:
(UMS data is protected under contract with Cofense Inc.)
- You will be reminded of the current Gmail account you are logged in under and given the option to select another. (The UMS Phish Reporter only works with UMS Gmail accounts)
- UMS Phish Reporter requires the following permissions to function properly, including to be able to forward suspicious emails to phish@maine.edu or to report to Cofense/Phishme when you have detected a simulated phishing email. Select Allow to grant these permissions.
- If the install is successful, a message will be display indicating it is ready to use. Select Done to complete the process.
- The USM Phish Reporter icon should now appear with other Add-ons you may have in the side-panel of Gmail, in the lower right.
The installation is now complete !
