An Adobe PDF may print as gibberish or have PostScript errors like Offending command when printed using a Xerox printer. This is due to a corrupt or improperly interpreted embedded image. The workaround is to Print as Image.
Instructions
Windows
- With the PDF file opened in Adobe, click on [File] on the toolbar, and then select [Print] from the menu.
- Select desired printer from pull down menu
- Click on the Advanced button
- Check the box for Print as Image and then click OK
- If necessary, click on the [Properties] button to change settings from the defaults, such as two-sided printing, or stapling, and then click OK to save the settings.
- Click OK to print the PDF document
macOS
- With the PDF file opened in Adobe, click on File on the toolbar, and then select Print from the menu. The Print window will be displayed.
- Select desired printer from pull down menu
- Click on the Advanced button
- Check the box for Print as Image and then click OK
- If necessary, select any required settings from the pull-down menus on the Print window
- Click on Print to print the PDF document.
