This article provides tips and tricks for clearing your browser's cache when MaineStreet acts up.

Detailed Information

Occasionally, MaineStreet will do unexpected things: access is denied, and things won't work. Before you call for assistance, your first best action is to clear your browser's cache. Below are instructions for clearing the caches of a variety of browsers.

Google Chrome

  1. Click on the settings icon that appears to the right of the address bar. In the newest versions of Chrome, this appears as three vertical dots showing the current vertical dots icon used in Chrome to indicate the Settings button. , and in older versions, it will be three horizontal lines showing the previously used Chrome settings icon of three horizontal lines. or a wrench icon showing the previously used Chrome settings icon of a wrench..
  2. From the menu, select More tools > Clear browsing data....
  3. Check the following: Cookies and other site data - Cached images and files
  4. Select All time in the Time range drop-down box and click on the CLEAR DATA button

Mozilla Firefox

  1. From the History menu, select Clear Recent History.
  2. If the menu bar is hidden, press Alt to make it visible.
  3. From the Time range to clear: drop-down menu, select the desired range; to clear your entire cache, select Everything.
  4. Next to "Details", click the down arrow to choose which elements of the history to clear; to clear your entire cache, select all items.
  5. Click Clear Now.
  6. Exit/quit all browser windows and re-open the browser.

Microsoft Edge

  1. In the top right, click the Hub icon (looks like a star with three horizontal lines).
  2. Click the History icon (looks like a clock), and then select Clear all history.
  3. Select Browsing history, then Cookies and saved website data, and then Cached data and files. Click Clear.
  4. After the "All Clear!" message appears, exit/quit all browser windows and re-open the browser.
