Instructions

An AV Cart composed of a rolling stand, a large flatscreen monitor, with a camera and soundbar at the top.

Powering on the Monitor

To use the cart, first make sure that the cart is plugged into a power outlet and that the monitor is powered on.

Some carts are paired with a remote that you can use to power it on. If there is no remote available, you can instead locate the monitor's power button either on the rear of the monitor or on the very bottom of the monitor's frame.

Back of the monitor, with a red arrow and circle indicating where the power button is typically located.

Powering on the PC

The PC is typically located on a tray at the front of the cart. To power it on, hit the small, round button on its front face. If the PC is currently on, the button should be lit with a white indicator light.

If the light is currently on, but nothing is showing on the display, it may be in Sleep Mode. Locate the wireless mouse and keyboard, usually set on top of the unit. Make sure both of these have their power switches set to 'On'. Try pressing a couple keys or moving the mouse. The display should turn on in just a couple moments.

Using the Equipment

Once both the monitor and PC are turned on, the AV cart should be ready for use. You may use the wireless mouse and keyboard in order to navigate the PC. The Polycom system at the top of the monitor will serve both your audio and video needs.

See the following Poly Studio article for more information.

Powering Off

Once you are finished using the AV Cart, please remember to shut everything down.

You can shut down the PC by going to the Windows icon located at the bottom taskbar. From there, select the Power icon and choose 'Shut Down'.

To power off the monitor, simply locate the monitor's power button again and press it.
