Learn how to add information to an event Series overview page on the Calendar of Events subsite in the WordPress editing environment for the University of Southern Maine's public website .
How to edit an event Series overview page
INFO: Adding a description to an event Series overview page is not required.
Step 1: Go to the Series dashboard
In the Calendar of Events subsite, select "Series" from the dashboard sidebar menu.

Step 2: Find your event Series
On the Series dashboard, scroll or search to find the Series you want to edit, then hover your mouse over the Series name to reveal the action menu below it.
Click "Edit" to open the edit screen.
In the pictured example, we're editing the "Homecoming and Family Weekend" Series. Click on the image thumbnail to see the full-sized version.
Step 3: Edit the Series overview page
In the rich text field, add a description and/or an image that represents the overall theme of your Series.
Click the "Update" button to save your changes and wait for the "Series updated" message to appear at the top of your screen.
Click on the "View Series" link in the "Series updated" message to see what the Series overview page looks like on the front end of the website.

Step 4: Check your work
Review the content you added to the Series overview page. If you need to make changes, go back to the edit screen and do so.
Once you're done (and there are events displayed below the "Upcoming" heading), you can share the Series overview page URL anywhere you want to promote the full offering of events, not just a single event (i.e., an info block on your subsite, an email, or a social media post).
