Issue / Question
Zoom Rooms equipped with Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) cameras may offer Auto Frame, which automatically adjusts the camera to frame participants.
How do I turn off Auto Frame and manually reposition or zoom the camera?
Solution
Switch to Manual Camera Control
- Start or join a meeting from the Zoom Room.
- On the Zoom Room Controller, tap Camera Control.
- The icon looks like directional arrows.
- Disable Auto Frame if it is enabled.
- Look for a toggle or ⌄ button labeled Auto Frame and tap it.
- Tap Manual to turn off Auto Frame.
- You can now use the manual camera controls.
- Use the Manual Camera Controls:
- Directional arrows: Move the camera left, right, up, or down.
- Zoom slider: Zoom in or out.
- Presets: If available, tap a preset number to move the camera to a saved view.
Optional: Save a Preset View
After positioning the camera manually, tap Save Preset if available to store the current camera position for quick access in future meetings.
