After clicking Check for updates from the Windows Updates, the following error message appears:

Solution
Check the network connection is good - a wired connection to the University network is preferred, but if using wireless ensure the computer is connected to the University wireless network. Then click the button to Try again.
If that fails, wait and try again later in the day or the following day. It is possible to occasionally get an error when trying to check for updates when the Windows Update server is very busy (sometimes after updates are initially made available and just before the install deadline are times when it is more likely).
If it still fails, click the link to Check online for updates from Windows Update. If the manual online update works, then wait and see if there are any issues the next month, and then if there are, open a ticket with the Help Desk.
