Papercut Print Deploy printer queues missing

If you receive your printers via PaperCut Print Deploy and a printer queue is missing, follow the steps below.

Solution 

  1. Check that you are connected to the University network (Eduroam or wired)
  2. Click the Print Deploy Icon (lower-right of Desktop on Windows and upper-right of the Desktop on macOS) and select Refresh my printers now
  3. Check if there is a log in button to the right of the print queue name in Print Deploy, if there is, click it and login with UMS credentials
    INFO: Print Deploy can save these credentials for a year, but then will require you to log in again
  4. Check if the desired printer is available in the Print Deploy client in Add Printers
  5. Create a Help Desk ticket and include the following:
    • IP address of the computer
    • location and time of the issue
    • Printer/print queue the user was missing
