Changing Language In Zoom For Mac and Windows

There have been times when, for no apparent reason, Zoom content, dialogue, or invitations appears in a different language than intended. This article walks through the methods to change the language in Zoom for desktop computers running MacOS or Windows.

Instructions

Windows

  1. On the bottom left of your desktop, click the Windows Start button.
  2. Locate the Zoom folder then click Zoom to launch the application.
  3. Click the notification tray icon (which looks like a widened version of this: ^) on the bottom right of your Windows taskbar.
  4. Right-click the Zoom icon in the notification tray.
  5. Hover over "Switch Languages."
  6. Select the desired language.
  7. Restart or quit/re-enter the Zoom application.

MacOS

  1. Go to your Finder, then your Applications to locate the Zoom application.
  2. Double click "zoom.us" to launch the application.
  3. Right-click or option-click the Zoom icon in your dock.
  4. Hover over "Switch Languages."
  5. Choose the language you want Zoom to be in.
  6. Confirm that you want to change the language.
  7. Restart or quit/re-enter the Zoom application.
