Sharing and Converting Zoom Local and Cloud Recordings

You or a customer might have questions about sharing a local or cloud Zoom recording, or converting an existing local recording to the cloud. This article helps to answer those.

Detailed Information

CONVERTING RECORDINGS: Local Recording saves your recording files on your computer. It is NOT possible to upload a local recording to the Zoom cloud. To store a video on Zoom's cloud, you must use cloud recording.

Sharing A Local Recording

  1. Sign in to the Zoom desktop client.
  2. Click Meetings.
  3. Click the Recorded tab.
  4. Select the desired recorded meeting click Open. This will open the folder where your recording files are stored. The MP4 file is the video file.
    1. Note: If you only see the Open button, the meeting contains a cloud recording.
  5. Visit a cloud storage or video streaming service like Dropbox, Box, Google Drive, YouTube, or Vimeo, and upload the MP4 file.
