Requesting a Xerox copier change

If information about a printer/copier needs to be updated in PaperCut, please follow the instructions below

Instructions 

  1. Create a ticket with the Help Desk with the following information
    • UMS Tag# (UMS####) of copier
    • Change to be made (i.e. location, device Serial #)
      • example of proper information needed: Location: USM-Bailey-300 Make: Xerox Model: C7130 Serial: QNT184727 ID: UMS0212
    • Reason for the change
      • Moved to the new location?
        • Xerox must be notified of the location change and may need to make the physical move.
        • Make sure the new location has proper AC power (20amp for xx70 model and above).
        • Make sure the new location has the network jack with the switch port set to VLAN 261  
        • Provide new building and room number
      • Swapped location with another copier?
        • Xerox must be notified of the location change and may need to make the physical move.
        • Please provide the current UMS Tag# for both devices along with the new location for each device.
      • Key Operator update?
        • Please provide the following information for the new Key Operators:
          • first and last name
          • email address
          • Employee ID, if possible.
