Google Voice is not supported by the University and is not included as a licensed or managed service in our Google Workspace for Education environment.

Google Voice was never an officially supported or centrally managed application. It functioned as a self-service tool for users who opted in when it was still available at no cost.
As of Google's policy change, Google Voice now requires a paid license within Google Workspace. The University does not currently purchase or assign these licenses.
Users who set up Google Voice before the licensing change may retain access under Google's “grandfathered” terms, but this access is not guaranteed or supported by the University.
INFO: IT staff do not have access to management tools for Google Voice. The only administrative control is to enable or disable access to the service for the entire domain.
WARNING: Users relying on Google Voice for university business do so without institutional support. Consider transitioning to supported communication platforms.
