Online Modality: How to add the Modality Flag at the Plan Level

Scope: this article will cover the Process for Coding Online Modality at the Plan Level.

Purpose: This article supplies detailed documentation on the process to code online modality at the plan level.

Detailed Information

  1. From the Foundation Tables menu select the Academic Plan Table

  1. Navigate to the Academic Plan Table and perform a search.

You will need to complete at least one of the following elements:

  • Academic Institution
  • Academic Program
  • Description
  • Short Description
  • Academic Group

It may be easiest to search by Institution. This requires you to enter the five-digit Academic institution code (e.g., UMS06 for University of Southern Maine).

This will list all plans assigned to your institution:

  1. Navigate to the additional Attributes Tab (Last Tab)  or clicking Additional Attributes link at the bottom of the screen.

  1. Select the plus sign to add a row for the attribute

  1. Then Select the Academic Program Modality Attribute from the drop down

  1. Select the magnifying glass icon to open the prompt for Academic Program Modality in order to select the value that aligns with your program (e.g., Blended, Online).

  1. Once you selected the value click return.
  2. Once you have made your choices, be sure to click save.
