How to Check A Connection Profile in ImageNow (Perceptive Content)

Users experiencing login errors can follow this process to check their own ImageNow profile settings.

Instructions

  1. In order to check the connection profile in Perceptive Content (ImageNow), you would click on CONNECTION PROFILES in the upper left-hand corner of the sign-on screen.
    • Opening page of Perceptive Content showing the text Perceptive Content Foundation 24.1, Production Open ID Connect with a Connect button.
  2. Most end users should only have Production in their selection and to modify or add one, you would want to click on EDIT CONNECTION PROFILES.
    • The profile selection screen in ImageNow, with the two options for profile selection of Production or ST Test, and a button to Edit connection profiles.
  3. Once you click EDIT, this box will open up. Here, you would highlight PRODUCTION and click MODIFY.
    • Connection Profiles within Imagenow, showing the options to select a profile (Production or ST) and the ability to Create, Modify, or Delete. Below are Default Preferences, with the option to Use Default Profile of Production checked.
  4. This is what the current Connection Profile for PROD should look like:
    • A tall display of the Connection Profile for PROD which shows Name: Production, Server ID: imagenow.unet.maine.edu, Server Type: Production, Port Number: 5000. Below, Login Profiles has Use OpenID Connect Checked, and Automatically Connect on Launch checked. The options to Remember Username are grayed out.
  5. Once this is updated, click OK. Then make sure that USE DEFAULT PROFILE is selected and select PRODUCTION from the dropdown, and click OK. This should complete the update of the connection profile.
    • A close-up of the Default Preferences on the Connection Profiles screen, showing the Default Preferences that says "Select an option to configure the connection settings." The middle option of Use Default Profile: Production is checked, and the top option (Remember last successful connection attempt) and bottom checkbox (Use domain authentication) are blank.
