Common Issues & Solutions

"When I type, nothing appears on the screen."

  • Make sure the keyboard is turned on.
  • Make sure the receiver is plugged into the computer.
  • Position the keyboard closer to the receiver to check if there is interference. If something is in front of the receiver, such as a cupboard door, try removing the block to see if that improves the signal.
  • Check that the batteries are in the right orientation.
  • Change out the batteries. Call ITMS if you need batteries.

"When I type, the typing is slow to appear on screen."

  • Position the keyboard closer to the receiver to check if there is interference. If something is in front of the receiver, such as a cupboard door, try removing the block to see if that improves the signal.
  • If the computer itself is slow, it is likely an underlying issue with the computer and not the keyboard.

"When I type, it isn't picking up all of the letters." or "Sometimes it types multiple letters that I didn't hit"
