Instructions for how to connect to the eduroam Wi-Fi network from a reMarkable 2 writing tablet are below.

Instructions

  1. Select "Settings" on the device, then select "Wi-Fi". If Wi-Fi is not yet enabled, enable it here
  2. Select "eduroam"
INFO: After selecting a network, you may be asked for a password to protect the credential storage on your device. This message would be from a security setting on your device, and is not prompting you for your Wi-Fi password. Please enter a memorable password to continue.
  3. For "EAP method," select "PEAP"
  4. For "Phase 2 authentication," select "MSCHAPV2"
WARNING: Do not enable "validation of certificate".
  5. Under "Identity," enter your UMS email address, including "@maine.edu" (i.e., "first.last@maine.edu")
INFO: Some devices may have an "Anonymous identity" field, which should be left blank.
  6. Under "Password," enter a password for your UMS account
  7. Select "Connect"
  8. Your device should now be connected to eduroam
INFO: You may now use the eduroam SSID at UMS universities or remote participating institutions globally, although access will be denied if your password is expired.
