Changing UMS password while working remote

How to change your UMS password when working remote.

Body

For staff and faculty who change their UMS password while their device is off campus, their local Windows machine password will not update unless they have  the Remote Access VPN running and connected.

Instructions 

  1. Connect to the Remote Access VPN
  2. Change your UMS password
  3. Wait 10 - 15 minutes (to give the change time to sync), then press Control + Alt + Delete keys to lock screen
    • WARNING: Make sure Remote Access VPN is still connected first​​​​​​
  4. Unlock the screen by logging in using your UMS Credentials with the new password.
