Fax over IP (FOIP)

The Fax-over-IP service (FoIP) replaces the need to support/buy/lease conventional fax equipment and to decrease the cost/support of aging copper cabling plants across all locations.

This system can leverage existing email (preferred), multi-function printers, and/or, in special circumstances, a web based interface to send and receive faxes.

Any fax number within UMS can be converted to deliver faxes to a UMS Maine.edu address.
