Adobe ETLA Service Description

For users requiring advanced creative or document workflow solutions, additional Adobe services are available upon request for a fee.Through the University of Maine System (UMS) Adobe Enterprise Term License Agreement (ETLA), employees and students can create professional documents and compelling visuals using Adobe Express and Adobe Acrobat Pro. Most everyday needs are met with these included applications, while advanced creative suites are available by request at additional cost.

Included at No Cost

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro – Create, edit, and share secure PDFs. Convert documents to and from PDF. Add accessibility tags to meet ADA and WCAG requirements. Enable e-signatures.
  • Adobe Expressfast, polished design for almost any project Create eye-catching graphics, presentations, flyers, and social media content in minutes using templates and intuitive design tools..

Available by Request at Additional Cost

  • Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) Full suite of professional applications including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and more.
  • Adobe Sign  Digital signature platform for secure, legally binding e-signatures and workflow automation. Access is provided by request. Departments are billed $1.30 for each transaction—a transaction occurs every time a document or set of related documents is sent for signature, whether or not it is completed.

How to Access

  1. Request a license Submit a request for Adobe Creative Cloud or Adobe Sign and wait for approval.
  2. Install Creative Cloud Desktop 
    1. UMS-managed Windows – Open Software Center and install Adobe Creative Cloud.
    2. UMS-managed macOS – Open the UMS Application Catalog and install Adobe Creative Cloud.
    3. Personal devices – Go to adobe.com, download and install Creative Cloud Desktop.
  3. Sign in  Launch Creative Cloud Desktop and sign in with your full @maine.edu email. When prompted, choose Company or School Account and select NERCOMP – University of Maine. Do not select “Sign in with Google.”

Eligibility

  • Students  Automatic access to Adobe Express. May request Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Sign at additional cost.
  • Employees  Automatic access to Adobe Acrobat Pro and Adobe Express. Limited access is available by request to Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Sign at additional cost.

Access to UMS Services is based upon the UMS Account Life Cycle Policy.

Accessibility

All Adobe products offered through this service include built-in accessibility features such as screen reader support, keyboard navigation, and tools for creating accessible PDFs. Users are responsible for ensuring their digital designs meet University of Maine System accessibility requirements and WCAG 2.1 standards. This includes providing alternative text for images, verifying sufficient color contrast, and checking exported content for accessibility compliance.
