Set Password

Description

The Set Password service allows UMS account holders to reset a forgotten or lost password without needing the current one. This self-service tool is available to users who previously activated their accounts online and configured security questions or provided an external email address.

This service is essential for maintaining access to UMS services such as MaineStreet, Brightspace, and UMS Email.

Note: If you did not use the online account activation system, you will not be able to use this utility.

Required Information

To reset your password, you will need:

  • Your UMS ID (username)
  • Your Student or Employee ID Number (EMPLID)
  • Access to either:
    • The answers to your security questions, or
    • An external email address previously associated with your account
