Self Service+ is the application catalog for University of Maine System (UMS) managed Macs. It works like a UMS app store, giving you one place to find and install available software.
WARNING: This only applies to University of Maine System Information Technology (UMS IT)-managed macOS computers
Note: Self Service+ displays free software and software that has already been approved or purchased for your managed Mac. Software that requires purchase or authorization will not appear until that process is complete.
Instructions
To open Self Service+
- Open up Finder
- Select Applications from the left-hand column
- Click Self Service+
Note: If you encounter a login screen at any point during this process, use your UMS credentials to log in.

WARNING: If Self Service+ is not in your list of Applications, then please reach out to UMS IT at help@maine.edu
