Kaltura: How do I find videos and content?

When accessing videos and content in Kaltura,  we may find we need to search for the videos. This walkthrough will cover two scenarios.

  1. How do I find videos I own?
  2. How do I find videos someone else owns?

Instructions

  • Scenario 1: How do I find videos I own?

    • If you OWN the content, you may find your content in two ways:

      1. First, you may navigate to video.maine.edu,

        • Click on "Guest" to find the login prompt.

        • Once logged in, Click on your profile to access "My Media"

        • You may now browse for your video

      2. Second, you may access it through Brightspace

        • Navigate to courses.maine.edu

        • On the Campus Navigation bar at the top of your screen, find and click "My Media".

        • You may now browse for your video.

  • Scenario 2: How do I find videos someone else owns?

    • In some cases, you may not own the content you are trying to find. For example, it is part of a class you are enrolled in as a student or facilitator.

      • If you find you are searching for content that you do not own, it is recommended you contact the content owner, as they may have renamed, or removed the video.

      • If the video was in a class, it is advised that you speak with your instructor for the availability of the video.
