Request for Information Technology Review

This guide will prepare you to complete an Information Technology Review Request (TRR).

Detailed Information 

The Information Technology Review Request Form should be completed by the sponsor or their designee, and the review completed by IT before acquiring any digital technology, applications, software, or equipment with a corresponding software package (paid or free) for university programs, courses, or activities. Such review is required by university policy. 

Before starting this request form, you should have a specific technology in mind, know who will have access, and understand what type of data will be stored or processed by the technology. You should also request the product's Accessibility Conformance Report from the manufacturer.  

When Needed 

Completion of the form is needed once the specific product/solution is known.  The goal of the technology review process is to ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulations, as well as the Board of Trustees Information Technology Policies and system Administrative Practice Letters (APL)
