Professors of a Brightspace course may wish to add users to their class without having them appear in Mainestreet. Most users are imported via the Mainestreet classlist, but professors have a limited capacity to add users with @maine.edu email addresses to their course(s) if desired.
Instructions
- From the navigation bar within the course, click "Classlist."
- Under "Enrollment Options," from the "Set all roles to" drop-down menu, select the role you want to assign the user you are adding to the Classlist. (Ex. TA, guest, etc.)
- The tool may be called "Add Participants"
- Under "Add existing user," use the Search function to look up their @maine.edu email address or first and last name. There are further customizations that can be made to the search function, but most users can be located using this method.
- In the search results list, click the check box by the name of the user you want to add, and then select a role for the user if you have not already done so.
- Click "Enroll Selected Users."
- Click "Done."
