Email Forwarding for Deleted Account

Description

This service offering allows authorized users to request temporary (160 days) email forwarding from a deleted University of Maine System (UMS) account to another valid email address.

Email forwarding is subject to UMS policy and may be approved on a case-by-case basis, depending on affiliation and the circumstances of the account deletion.

To request email forwarding, please call the IT Service Desk.

Required Information

The following information is required when submitting this request:

  • Full name of the original account holder
  • Deleted username (e.g., jane.doe@maine.edu)
  • Alternate email address for forwarding
  • Reason for the request
